Wright Fights Back On “Your Remedy Is In The Law” Radio Show With “AKA” Michael Edwards.

The radio show below is where John Wright calls into the “Remedies In The Law” program on May 14th, 2012.  It was in reference to a complaint Wright had received from two Piggybankblogger’s about some program that is called the “OMNI GOLD PROGRAM.”  The OMNI GOLD program is advertised on the radio show in an infomercial sort of style by Edwards.

The radio talk show host goes by the name of “Michael Edwards.”  However, let the record show that this is not his real full name — but his real name is actually “Michael Edwards Keith.”  Mr. Edwards or Keith — or whatever his name is – might be nothing other than a paid infomercial for a man that goes by the name of “Michael Lawrence,” which incidentally, also does not use his real full name.  His real name is actually “Michael Lawrence Day.”  When questioned on the show by Wright as to why Edwards does not use his real name — Michael Edwards explained to John Wright that it is because he “does not want to be found out.”

Unfortunately, both Mr. Edwards and Mr. Lawrence have a past of being involved in marketing a lawsuit that would result in thousands of homeowners losing thousands of dollars in the infamous Kramer and Stein mailer scheme lawsuit.  The mailer scheme would result in the raid and shut down of both Phillip Kramer and Mitchell J. Stein’s offices by the California Attorney General last year — Info on raid  Additionally, Phillip Kramer would end up being “disbarred” by the California State Bar Association – State Bar Press Release Mitchell J. Stein would end up being made “Not Eligible To Practice Law.” - State Bar reporting on Stein  However, Mr. Edwards willingly admits on the radio interview that both Mr. Edwards and Mr. Lawrence did not refund any of the money that they collected from the homeowners to be in the lawsuit — even though Edwards stated that he had been paid to send people to the Mitchell J. Stein lawsuit.  Additionally, Edwards also willingly admitted that both he and Lawrence continued to communicate with Mitchell J. Stein’s “marketing team” (Toby Butterworth) even after the raid – and even until recently.

John Wright challenges Mr. Edwards on following issues on the radio:

1. Michael Edwards is advertising that there have been SEVENTY SEVEN SUCCESFUL OUTCOMES with the OMNI GOLD program — and yet — Mr. Edwards admits that he has only seen ONE OF THE SEVENTY SEVEN as evidence — even though he continues to advertise the seventy seven on his show.  Mr. Edwards stated that he feels absolutely no obligation to see all seventy seven because he trusts Mr. Lawrence, even though he trusted Mr. Lawrence previously where homeowners lost thousands of dollars because of the mailer scheme.  Michael Edwards absolutely refused to produce the seventy seven for the audience.  He simply stated that it was up the clients to investigate — even though he is being paid to push the product.
2. Michael Edwards seems to be advertising a service that asks for its fees to be paid by the homeowner giving up a percentage of their house in the end – even though there are all sorts of consumer warnings about services who ask for a portion of the homeowners house as part of their payment – Lawyers prey on foreclosure-facing homeowners in San Fernando Valley and beyond
3. Michael Edward’s mentions in the interview that he met John Wright under attack the first time he met him.  However, curiously, Edwards does not mention that John Wright first contacted him because Michael Edwards was including John Wright’s name in a mass email flyer to potentially solicit people for his product he was advertising on his radio show. – blog written about it on October 23rd – 24th and 25th of 2011  For the record, both Mr. Edwards and Mr. Lawrence told John Wright back then that Toby Butterwoth was not being truthful about the incident in 2011.

It is INTENSE and THOUGHT PROVOKING and ABSOLUTELY REVEALING! 

Wright Contacted Michael Lawrence For Comment After Radio Show — But Lawrence Did Not Respond.

Dear Mr. Lawrence:

Mr. Edwards has advertised that you have had 77 success rates in “saving a persons home with this program that requires the person to give access to a percentage of their home in lieu of fees.”  Certainly – it would be “public record” if such success has already happened – and contrary to Mr. Edwards feelings – this request would not violate client attorney privilege.  This is because it should be public record by now.  I just want the public record documents and names of the homeowners it saved.  This is since these “77” are being used in a way to convince people to join this program – in which Mr. Edwards does not seem to think that it is important to see these 77.  Certainly – it should only be reasonable that you would want to provide them for my independent investigation that I am doing to back this claim up.

If I decide to do an article – I promise it will be the truth and it will be fair – but I have not decided if I will do one yet — until I use a little more due diligence first.  If I do one — I will also afford the other side “you” a portion of the blog or article to respond.  That is why any spirit of cooperation that you might want to show to answer any of these questions would not be (Correction: Meant to say “Would be to the benefit”) to the benefit of the public — since you are taking in money from this program – but it would also be to the benefit of your product – if indeed there are “77” in the “context” of the question I asked on tonight’s show.  This is important since it is being referenced to in the “Edwards infomercial” – or radio show – or whatever it is.

For the record, Mr. Lawrence did not respond.

It is also important to mention that Mr. Edwards told Wright on the radio show that he could send him (Edwards) an email if he had any further questions.  However, for the record, Mr. Edwards sent Mr. Wright an email right after the radio show telling Wright that he was no longer allowed to ask Edwards any questions by email.  Then Edwards sent another email asking Wright to call him — but when Wright did — Edwards said he was on the air and could not talk at that time.  Neither Edwards or Lawrence ever contacted Wright again.

Therefore, I guess we will never know if the SEVENTY SEVEN really existed or not.

In conclusion, it is important to mention that John Wright does not really have any problem with the program itself (from what he knows of it) – other than the fact that the program fees are being guaranteed by a portion of the person’s home.  Either way — Wright believes that the homeowner should have the right to choose to be in this program regardless of this fact — as long as the homeowner is aware that there are all sorts of warnings about any service that asks for their fees to be guaranteed by securing a part of the homeowners’ home.

Excellent job done. This group should be taken down.  They are nothing but scammers and taking people’s money.  I know what I’m saying. I paid the 3,500 fee and then I paid 2, 500 for Kramer and I got nothing in return.  I did ask for a refund of the 3,500 from Edwards and was laughed at big time.  I have claimed the whole amount paid to the bar that will be refunding the victims after Kramer was disbarred.  I also gave them the whole story of how I got involved with Edwards group and the amount of money I paid.  I hope they go into investigation. — Pas

Consumer Warning Online About Michael Edwards Keith and Michael Lawrence Day

Michael Lawrence and Michael Edwards are SCAM ARTISTS…ripping people off of thousands of dollars and giving really bad advice at the same time.  Here is a thread from mortgage challenge yahoo group:

To each his own, but my STRONG opinion is to stay away from anything with Michael Lawrence’s name attached.  I lost $3,500 to this joker last year in one of his ‘mortgage administrative remedy’ schemes.  And, after the process fell apart and didn’t work, and after offering in writing to refund my money, he and his co-conspirators ceased all communication with me and I never saw a penny.  He and the group of scammers he’s affiliated with seem to come up with a new ‘process’ every few months and take people for tens of thousands of dollars, only to eventually come up with some excuse why the program isn’t working and why they have to try something different, leaving homeowners in the lurch. Now it appears they’re going to mimic what some other groups and attorneys are doing by preying on people to put up several thousand dollars to be a plaintiff in one of these joinder lawsuit ruses.

He uses a fake name to disguise his real identity: it’s actually Lawrence Michael Day.  He promotes his schemes on the website http://www.yourremedyisinthelaw.com/hosted by Michael Edward, except that Michael Edward also uses a fake name, as well: his real name is Michael Edward Keith.

When they took my $3,500 – of which I deposited at a Wachovia-Wells Fargo branch into their “Trust” account – it was later discovered that their partner who was handling the Trust is a convicted felon on probation and the so-called Trust was actually set up to fund a pool hall venture.  They alleged that the partner wiped out the Trust account…but, of course, only after both “Michaels” got their share of the pie. Many people lost money and were refused a refund after the process turned out to be a farce.  And while they claimed to be working with ‘attorneys’, it was discovered that their so-called attorney was actually a man simply doing legal research and giving legal advice…basically practicing law without a license.

In my strong opinion, it would be wise to stay away from anything associated with Lawrence Michael Day, Michael Edward Keith, Jeff Sedgwick, Rusty Gardner and the bunch they have assisting them in these schemes.  I wouldn’t be giving this warning except that I can honestly speak from personal experience in dealing with these schemers, and desire to save others from the grief and loss of funds as so many have suffered at their hands.  Again, though, to each his own.
