High Profile Attorney Mitchell J. Stein Was Arrested

Mitchell J. Stein was arrested on Sunday, December 18th, 2011.  He was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport — after returning back from a business trip in Ireland.

It is alleged that Mitchell J. Stein was involved in a scheme to artificially inflate the stock price in a company called Heart Tronics Inc… Assistant Attorney General Lanny A. Breuer of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division charged Mitchell J. Stein with one count of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and wire fraud, three counts of mail fraud, three counts of wire fraud, three counts of securities fraud, three counts of money laundering and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice. If convicted, Stein faces up to 20 years in prison on each count of mail fraud, wire fraud, securities fraud, and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, as well as up to 10 years in prison on each count of money laundering and up to five years in prison on the conspiracy to obstruct justice count.

Willie Gault, the former NFL wide receiver and Olympic sprinter was accused by U.S. regulators of taking part in a scheme. So now it might be said that Willie Gault could be running for the touchdown of his life now, after you consider that the Feds seem to be chasing behind him trying to tackle him now.  This is because Willie Gault is accused of artificially inflating the stock of the California-based Heart Tronics Company.  It is alleged that Gault repeatedly announced millions of dollars in fake sales orders for its heart-monitoring devices between 2006 and 2008.  The SEC also sued Gault’s co-chief executive officer J. Rowland Perkins, and Stein’s handyman and chauffer Martin B. Carter in the incident.  I know how he feels.  This is because my chauffer is always giving me troubles too. (Tongue-in-cheeck)

Martin Andelman from Mandelman Matters responds: “Well, I have to say… that’s just off the charts hysterical! And here I’ve been waiting to find out whether Stein was part of the Kramer mass joinder fiasco financially. LMAO. Oh my God, I am cracking up over here. He said he was suing the banks but as it turns out he was robbing them! And I went to the same High School with him. It’s like finding out you went to HS with Chuck Keating. And his wife Tracy too? OMG.

So, what’s the deal on his arrest by Justice?  I think I’ll send him a subscription to American Banker. -LOL”

I contacted Mitchell J. Stein for comment — and to my surprise – Mitchell J. Stein seemed unfazed by the current charges.  He claimed that he anticipated this when filed the lawsuit against the federal government.  I was totally shocked because I think my asshole would have puckered at even facing one of those charges brought against him.  The headlines would have read: My Name Is John Wright And I am Fighting Back — was found sitting in his living room Papa chair with only his clothes and shoes remaining.  It was later determined that Wright was apparently the victim of self-combustion.” - click here   Nevertheless, Mithcell J. Stein was totally unfazed by the current arrest and charges.  (scratching my head)  He said that he was only in jail overnight.  So I guess that means that Mitchell J. Stein must not have been - Too big for bail.

Mitchell J. Stein went on to talk about the Heart Tronics device.  He seemed very excited about the outcome of a recent meeting he had.  Stein claimed the United Nations was now “buying the Heart Tronics device”. – Press release  (scratching my head)  It was later reported to me that they completely backed out of the deal once they got wind of Stein’s arrest. 

I told Stein that I was very disturbed by the email that I received from someone who claimed that they were a victim.  In response Mitchell J. Stein pointed out that it is pubic record that he was actually the victim in what was called “The Feldman complaint.”  According to Stein — he said that she still owes him 20 million dollars that she had stolen from a trust from him.

Stein does bring up valuable questions here though.  Why did the government decide to wait until now to arrest him if the charges stem back to 2008?  Is the answer because Stein recently filed a lawsuit against the federal government regarding the Heart Tronics device? – click here   Let’s also not forget that Stein filed a Civil Rights lawsuit against California Attorney General Kamala D. Harris.

All I have to say is if some potentially washed-up attorney can be considered “The Doberman” — then I am guessing that I could be more appropriately described as “The Pit Bull.” That is when you consider the lockjaw I tend to use on unethical law firms.

What is the difference between the Dobie and the Pit Bull?

Now if there was a manual describing ideal Pit Bull temperament, it would probably read something like this: “The Pit Bull is goofily friendly towards people – family, friends, and strangers alike. Known for its sound character, strong nerve, and great intelligence, the breed makes an ideal companion for households with children, while remaining strong and vigilant enough to protect its loved ones if need be. It is never necessary to embark on guard or attack training with this breed, as they are naturally attuned to their environment and intuitive about real threats. Although never aggression towards people without real need, the Pit Bull may show dog-directed aggression, but sensitivity to other dogs will vary from dog to dog. The properly socialized and trained Pit Bull should not be an instigator, yet it is unlikely for the breed to shy away from a challenge.

Today the Pit Bull has evolved into a marvelous working and companion dog, used for purposes as varied as those it originally performed. Pit Bulls are employed as police/armed services dogs, search and rescuers, therapy animals, and livestock workers. They compete in all manner of organized dog sports, from herding to agility to conformation to obedience and the bite sports like Schutzhund and French Ring. They make loving pets for children and seniors, and everyone in between. They are indeed one of the most versatile breeds on the planet. Much of this is owed to the activities it once performed. The harshness and physical demands of the activities molded a strong, healthy, stable animal, one anyone should be proud to own.

Here are some solutions for your Doberman if you have this problem:

Spay/Neuter your Doberman

This helps prevent surprises and overpopulation. If done early enough, it also helps prevent the emergence of dominance or aggression based behavior problems (if the behaviors have already emerged then training will be needed to correct them). Make sure that you have set and are consistently enforcing the household rules. Establish yourself as the pack leader (tips here) so that he will follow your commands. Make sure your dog knows the “Leave It Command.” Any time he starts the behavior or appears to be thinking of doing it, instruct him to Leave It. Use a firm tone. If he ignores your commands, try using a water bottle to squirt him with whenever he starts the humping.

For the record, Mitchell J. Stein always used to like to refer to himself to me as “Yoda” when we used to discuss his strategies regarding the Honda and Bank of America lawsuit.  But this time Mitchell J. Stein might have finally pissed off both the State and Federal Government to biblical proportions.   This is because the Federal Government has apparenty decided to “fight back” Mr. Stein.

In the end the government might be saying to Mitchell J. Stein: “We are the United States Government!  We won World War I and World War II!  Now who the hell are you?”.

Update on 12/18/12: There have been many of you that have written me over the past month wanting to know if I have any updates on the Mitchell J. Stein Heart Tronics trial that was supposed to have started in October – but was then delayed after it was reported that Mitchell J. Stein’s attorney had to be replaced due to a conflict of interest.  This of course had many people wondering if this was actually a tactic designed by Stein to buy more time.  I am neither able to confirm or deny that allegation for you. This is because I am no longer in communication with Mitchell J. Stein like I used to be back in the day.  For example – the last contact I had with Mitchell J. Stein was in regards to him saying that he was still planning on doing the last part of the interview here at Piggybankblog.com.  This was months ago. Other than that — I have had to turn to other people to find out any details about the Heart Tronics trial – in which Mitchell J. Stein is being charged with one count of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, three counts of mail fraud, three counts of wire fraud, three counts of securities fraud, three counts of money laundering, and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice stemming from an alleged multi-million dollar market manipulation fraud scheme — and a partidge in a pear tree. (wink) With that being said — It has now been shared with me by someone who is following his trail in Flordia — that his trial date has now been moved to May 3^rd, 2013.(CRIMINAL DOCKET FOR CASE #: 9:11-cr-80205-KAM-1)  I have no further information at this time. Neither do I have any further information about the Spire Law Group New York lawsuit..

Interview With Mitch Stein And Attorney Eric Wittenberg of Spire Law Group

Mitchell J. Stein was one of the nations leading trial and homeowner attorneys during the Great Mortgage Crisis of our times. Stein – who used to be an attorney in California — filed what was said to be the first lawsuit in behalf of the homeowners against Bank of America in 2009. Then homeowners across the nation would be shocked to find out that Mitchell J. Stein & Associates was raided and shutdown by the California Attorney General in August of 2011 for being accused of being part of a “mailer scheme” that was said to have schemed millions of homeowners out of millions of dollars. Then Mitchell J. Stein would be indicted and arrested four months later by the federal government in December of 2011. The federal government alleges that Mitchell J.
